Photos · 35mm · Negatives · Documents · Articles

$1 per photo.
That's the whole baseline.

Most collections are exactly that simple. For anything more complicated — photos glued into albums, frames to open, slides, negatives, or documents — I'll look at what you have and give you the exact number before I start. No surprises.

The prices.

Three rates cover almost everything. Everything else gets a free quote first.

What's always included.

Every job — regardless of size or format — includes all of this.

When it's more complicated than a shoebox.

Some collections have things that take more care — photos glued into old albums, frames that need to be opened, documents and memorabilia mixed in with the prints. I've seen all of it.

For anything that falls outside loose prints and slides, I look at your collection first and give you the exact price before I start. You'll never get a bill for more than what we agreed.

Photos in albums

Depends entirely on the album type. Some lift cleanly. Some are magnetic or sticky and take real coaxing. I'll tell you upfront which you have and what it costs.

Framed photos

I can open frames carefully and scan the print inside. Quoted per job after I see what you have — some frames are simple, some are delicate.

Documents & paperwork

Recipes, letters, certificates, military records, newspaper clippings — all doable. Standard letter/legal pages are $0.50 each through the ADF. Anything fragile or odd-sized goes on the flatbed at $1.00/page. Add OCR for $0.25/page to make everything text-searchable.

$0.50/page · $1.00/page flatbed · +$0.25 OCR

Oversized prints

Anything larger than 8×10 goes on the flatbed and takes more time. I'll quote you when I see it — most oversized prints are still very reasonable.

$1.00/page flatbed

Not sure which category you're in?

Send me a photo of your collection or describe what you have. I'll tell you exactly what it would cost before you commit to anything. That's what the free consultation is for.

$75

Minimum per job. There's a $75 minimum to cover the time it takes to meet, process, and return a job properly. For most people with a real shoebox, you'll never see this.

What I never charge for.
